The work session of the Mayor and Council of the City of Gooding, Idaho was called to order at 2:00 pm in the Gooding Municipal Building, 308 5th Ave West, Gooding, Idaho on July 28, 2017.
Present were Mayor Nelson, Councilpersons France, Magnelli, Houser and Arkoosh.
Present were City Clerk Hollye Lierman, Treasurer Brenda Aquiso, Library Director Cindy Bigler, Police Chief Dave Fisher, Fire Chief Covey and Public Works Director Larry Bybee.
Jim Brockman and David Hultz.
Fire Department: Jim Brockman stated the Fire Commissioners would like the Councils approval to move forward in forming a Fire District. If the Council approves the Fire Department would like to do the levy increase this fall.
Budget: Discussion was held to discuss the increases and decreases anticipated in revenue and expenses for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. The proposed expenditures of $9,469,384.00 were reviewed. Councilman Arkoosh made a motion to approve the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 in the amount of $9,469,384.00. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Houser. Motion carried.
Executive Session: Councilman France moved to adjourn into executive session in accordance with Idaho Code 74-206 Section (f) to discuss legal matters at 3:31 pm. Motion seconded by Councilman Magnelli. Upon roll call, Councilpersons Arkoosh, France, Houser and Magnelli voted aye. Motion carried.
The meeting reconvened at 3:51 p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
