The Mayor and Council will meet to correct such assessments so levied and so assessed as herein provided. The purpose of this board is to correct the irrigation assessments with regard to a fair and equitable restructuring of assessment rate schedules for all property owners within the City of Gooding. The City must pay operation, maintenance and accounting charges yearly for the delivery of irrigation water to the City system. Idaho State Law indicates that these charges should be fairly distributed among property owners and users proportionate to utilization.
To appeal your irrigation assessments, you must appear before the mayor and council. To have your name placed on the agenda, call city hall 934-5669 or submit a letter identifying yourself, your property and the reason for your appeal.
