The work session of the Council of the City of Gooding, Idaho was called to order at 6:00 pm in the Gooding Municipal Building, 308 5th Ave West, Gooding, Idaho on July 22, 2013.
Present were Councilpersons Arkoosh, France, Houser and Magnelli. Council President Vern France presided over the meeting.
Present were Alfie Eichholz, Debbie McClaine and Pat Raines.
Lincoln Inn Parking Lot Lease: Public Works Director Bunn was asked to measure the area that was leased and determine if it was only the Hotel parking lot or if a portion of the hotel itself is located on the leased property. The council also asked for Attorney Hobdey and Public Works Director Bunn to meet with the current owner of the Lincoln Inn and discuss the current lease with him and possible changes he may want.
Gooding Dog Group: Suggestions were made to look at adjusting the impound fees, use of shock collars for control by owners, dogs not secured in back of open pickups, dogs disposed of for violating ordinance 666 three times in a 12month period, vaccination requirements for dogs and associated penalties, percentage of fees to be set aside for local dog groups. Council requested attorney Hobdey make some suggested changes to ordinance 666 and submit to council for review at future meeting.
Gay Yow- Chickens within the City Limits: Discussion was held and the Council chose not to allow chickens within the City limits.
