The Gooding City Council meets regularly on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Gooding Municipal Building, 308 5th Ave West, Gooding, Idaho.
The Gooding Mayor, City Council and Staff welcome you to attend their meetings. We appreciate and encourage public participation. However, the formality of procedures varies with the purpose and subject of the agenda item; therefore, the Mayor may exercise discretion in deciding when to allow public comment during the course of the proceedings and limitations may be placed on the time allowed for comments.
Citizens wishing to address the Mayor and Council may call the City Clerk 208 934-5669 and ask to be placed on the agenda. Any person requiring special assistance should call five days prior to the meeting so that arrangements may be made.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC AUCTION
WHEREAS, the GOODING CITY COUNCIL has determined that it is in the City’s best interests to sell certain real property located in the NW 1/4 of Section 14, Township 6 South, Range 14 EBM, together with Water Right No. 37-2761A for 1.64 cfs, a 1967 groundwater right, a center pivot located thereon, and rights associated with a Joint Ownership Agreement and Easement regarding a well, pump, panel, penstock and appurtenances thereto and,
WHEREAS, the CITY OF GOODING had a public hearing regarding the above sale and has had the property appraised.
THEREFORE, YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the CITY OF GOODING will sell at public auction, on March 18, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at GOODING CITY HALL, 308 5th Avenue West, Gooding, Idaho, the above described property. The sale will include the pivot currently on the property and the minimum bid, pursuant to the appraisal shall be Seven Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($730,000.00). The successful Bidder must deposit $10,000.00 earnest money with the City prior to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday March 19, 2013. The Sale must close prior to May 10, 2013.
In the event the successful Bidder fails to pay the earnest money by 4:30 p.m March 19, 2013 or fails to close the sale by May 13, 2013, the City reserves the right to either cancel the Sale and reschedule the auction or offer the property to the next highest Bidder.
