The Gooding City Council meets regularly on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Gooding Municipal Building, 308 5th Ave West, Gooding, Idaho.

The Gooding Mayor, City Council and Staff welcome you to attend their meetings. We appreciate and encourage public participation. However, the formality of procedures varies with the purpose and subject of the agenda item; therefore, the Mayor may exercise discretion in deciding when to allow public comment during the course of the proceedings and limitations may be placed on the time allowed for comments.

Citizens wishing to address the Mayor and Council may call the City Clerk 208 934-5669 and ask to be placed on the agenda. Any person requiring special assistance should call five days prior to the meeting so that arrangements may be made.

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gooding, Gooding County, Idaho (the “City”), has petitioned, pursuant to Idaho Code § 7-1301, et. seq. for seek judicial confirmation of the power of the City (1) to incur an indebtedness as an “ordinary and necessary expense” of the City authorized by the general laws of the State, within the meaning of Article 8, Section 3, of the Idaho Constitution, in a principal amount not to exceed $9,454,000, for the purchase of improvements to the public water system of the City; (2) to issue revenue bonds or other evidence of indebtedness of the City for the same, for the purpose of financing the cost of necessary improvements to the public water system; and (3) to pledge the City’s water system revenues for the payment of such indebtedness for a term of not more than thirty (30) years.

Interested parties who wish to review the Petition may do so during normal business hours at the City Municipal Building, 208 5th Avenue West, Gooding, Idaho.

Any interested party may appear by written appearance or answer to the Petition filed with the Clerk of the above-entitled Court at any time prior to the date set for hearing on the Petition, which has been set for the 11th day of December, 2012, at 1:30 o’clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, before Judge Butler, at the Gooding County Courthouse, 624 Main Street, Gooding, Idaho, 83330.
